Westpac has launched a new brand positioning with a series of newspaper ads.

westpac-Proudly-supported-by-young-restless-articleEmphasising Westpac’s 196-year history as Australia’s first bank and company, the campaign launched with full-page ads in national and metropolitan Sunday newspapers.

Lagging behind the other Big Four banks in terms of a cohesive brand identity for the past few years, Westpac felt it best to rectify this deficit by positioning the institution as an investor in all things Australian, focussing on its heritage and showing its support of major infrastructure projects and individual goals.

The campaign will roll across outdoor and cinema ads have been scheduled for the Boxing Day releases. In papers, these ads ran from the third page in the early general news section on the consecutive right-hand side.
