Mobile builds on steady print figures

There is a perception among some that readership of newspapers, particularly print, has been falling consistently in recent times.

Audience Remains Steady

Total readership of newspaper media across print and digital platforms has remained steady since September 2013. Readership is currently at 16.4 million people a month, representing 93% of the population aged 14 and over.

Though digital content is the key driver of this growth, print readership still accounts for a significant proportion of total consumption of newspaper media, at 14.6 million people, or 83% of the population aged 14 and over.
