NewsLifeMedia has appointed Prue Cox as its new chief commercial officer, responsible for the strategic direction of the News Corp Australia division, growing its revenue streams, and creating new revenue opportunities.
Ms Cox, formerly managing director of taste.com.au and Kidspot.com.au, will also take on the responsibilities of business commercial director, after Sev Celik leaves the company at the end of the year.
Ms Cox looked forward to introducing new technology partnerships, and evolving current revenue streams, such as its new client content studio, LifeLab.
“This is an exciting time in our business. NewsLifeMedia’s specialised content-focused sales model is working really well,” she said.
“The company’s expertise in developing content for clients that connects with audiences is the commercial centre piece of our great brands,” she said.
Ms Cox has been with NewsLifeMedia since 2012, and has held the roles of commercial director and national sales manager.
With more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, Ms Cox has also worked at SheSpot, Abundant Media, and Yahoo!7.
She will report to NewsLifeMedia chief executive Nicole Sheffield, and already has started in her new role.
Ms Sheffield said Ms Cox’s experience made her the ideal person for this role.
“Her experience working in the commercial side of our business and driving the growth of two of our biggest digital brands means she is well positioned to build on our successes and create even more innovative solutions for our clients and consumers across all platforms,” she said.
