Josanne Ryan has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA).
Ms Ryan comes to the AMAA from News Corp Australia, where she was the marketing and strategy director of News Community Media.
The organisation audits media data supplied by publishers and verifies it according to agreed standards under the ABC and CAB brands.
“The transparency and accountability of verified data, ensuring that advertisers and agencies can transact with confidence, remains vital to both print and digital media,” Ms Ryan said.
“I am excited to continue to evolve the AMAA’s services across all media platforms.”
Before her previous role at News Corp Australia, she worked at ACP Magazines, Pacific Magazines and Fairfax Media.
“Josanne brings a wealth of media experience to the role, with a strong understanding of the value of audited data,” AMAA chairman Harley Slatter said.
