The first-ever gloss edition of Good Weekend will hit The Saturday Age and The Sydney Morning Herald tomorrow.

The gloss edition will run at a bumper 54 pages and be framed as the inaugural Design and Innovation issue of the Fairfax Media insert magazine.

The edition provides a premium environment for advertisers to showcase their brand and will feature Good Weekend’s first masthead-integrated advertiser cover, an execution by car brand Mercedes­Benz.

Good Weekend reaches an affluent and educated audience of close to a million readers across NSW and Victoria.

The Good Weekend Design and Innovation issue will also feature enhanced regular features including a new section ‘Minutes with…’, where a fascinating figure takes readers into their world; ‘Endorsed’, a space for personal reflection by renowned writers; revamped Fashion pages and a Father’s Day Gift Guide.

Good Weekend Editor Amelia Lester said the edition will feature some of Australia’s amazing design talent.

“There could not be a better way to showcase our greatest design and innovation talent than in Good Weekend’s luxurious, gloss pages,” she said.

The next gloss edition of Good Weekend will be the Arts & Culture issue and will launch on October 8.

This edition coincides with the Opera in the Vineyards event, presented by Good Weekend, staged in the NSW Hunter Valley on the same day.
