GetUp! Takes Shots

Action organisation GetUp! have placed full page ads in newspapers setting out their objections to proposed legislation, around the rights of shooters to have access to National Parks.

GetUp! Not Worth The RiskThe ads use long copy to set out their case and deliver a call to action by way of a website destination. The role of the ad is very much to influence the public agenda, and as we head towards a Federal Election, we may expect to see more action groups and lobbyists making use of Newspapers to make their case.

Newspapers are still Australia’s most trusted source of information and still the most significant source of stories for other news media. This ad from GetUp! seeks to tap into the gravitas and agenda setting that newspapers deliver.
