Newspaper of the Year 2010

Newspapers large and small battle it out for this prestigious title. The competition is split into four circulation categories to match publications of similar size against each other.

The Sydney Morning Herald is the current holder of the 90,000+ category. New newspapers in the contest this year include the Wall Street Journal Asia.

More than 360 entries were lodged last year for an array of awards, including News Site of the Year, photography, Marketing, innovation, environment, health and safety and print excellence.

In total there will be 53 separate awards this year, to be presented at a gala night in Sydney on August 26.
