Daily Telegraph audience surges 15pc

The Daily Telegraph’s unique audience has jumped 15 per cent to 2.35 million in February, new data from Nielsen has shown.

The masthead moved from 13th into 8th place, beating out the Herald Sun which moved to 10th place and knocking the BBC out of the top 10.

News.com.au furthered its lead, beating second placed Nine.com.au by more than 1 million readers with total growth of 6 per cent. Sitting on 5.7 million, news.com.au holds the highest unique audience since September 2016.

ABC News Sites total unique audience dropped from 4.34 to 4.07 million, making way for The Sydney Morning Herald to move into third place.

The Age overtook rival Melbourne masthead the Herald Sun, moving from 10th to 8th place.
