Mediacom’s former head of strategy in Sydney, Mat Maroni, has been appointed planning director of Clemenger BBDO Sydney.
For the last eight years, Mr Maroni has worked at Mediacom in Sydney and London, with clients Foxtel and Canon among his clients.
“I’ve been impressed with the way [Clemenger] combines rich storytelling pedigree with real technological capability and intent,” Mr Maroni said of his new employer.
“I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Clemenger BDDO Sydney’s executive director of planning, Al Crawford, said: “He’s … brilliant at coming up with big, enduring brand ideas, but also savvy about how those ideas can come to life in the real world.”
Mr Maroni will work with Clemenger BDDO Sydney on projects for Virgin Australia and Arnott’s.
