A senior executive at one of Europe’s largest newspaper groups has joined a growing list of influential speakers at the 2014 Future Forum.
Pit Gottschalk is managing director of content at German publisher Axel Springer and a member of the INMA board of directors.
He is a passionate advocate of fully integrating print content with digital, right down to newsroom practices.
Back in 2011, he told an INMA conference of the importance of fully integrating a newsroom to operate with both print and digital in mind. “Online will be the centre of the whole workflow,” he said. “So my opinion is, the heart of the morning paper beats online in the future.”
His most recent book on the content workflow in modern newsrooms carries that metaphor as its title.
Exploring trends in everything from advertising, content and audiences to human resources, he will share his beliefs from years of studying newsrooms around the world about ideas that publishers need to look at more closely.
He joins Yasmin Namini, senior vice president and chief consumer officer at The New York Times, on the list of Future Forum speakers.
The Future Forum will be held on August, 20 and 21 at the Ivy and Establishment, George Street, Sydney.
With the theme “Get Closer”, this year’s event is a chance to better understanding your audiences, agencies and advertisers, with insights from influential thought leaders, global innovators and accredited trainers over a two-day agenda.
