Fairfax Media’s Andrew McEvoy will take on an expanded role as managing director, marketing services, overseeing the group’s transformation strategy.
The expanded role follows the completion of a 12-month contract by Adam Warden as group director, transformation.
Mr Warden’s contract expires in September.
Mr McEvoy’s new responsibilities will build on his existing duties overseeing the expansion of Fairfax Events, including the successful City 2 Surf in Sydney and The Australian Financial Review’s Women of Influence program. He will report to chief executive Greg Hywood.
Marketing services spans content marketing as well as events, with content marketing head Simon Smith now reporting to Mr McEvoy.
Mr McEvoy joined Fairfax in January. He was formerly managing director of Tourism Australia.
